Your quilt will be an artistic fabric-collage based on the photograph you supply.

Choose the photo you want made into a quilt and send it to us. It has to be a photo you have taken yourself, or one that you have permission to use. The best photos for a quilt are those that have great lighting, especially with areas that are lighter and darker. Also, the photo has to be “large” enough that when it is blown up to the final size of the quilt, it is still clear. Don’t worry if there are things in the image that you don’t want in the quilt, they can be left out.

Following receipt of a deposit for 50% of the total cost, we will begin to create the quilt. We use commercial and hand dyed fabrics, and batiks to create the quilt front. If you’d like, we can send pictures of the art process as it unfolds. Finally, the entire quilt is free motion quilted. The quilt will include a sleeve on the back for hanging it on a wall.

After receiving payment of the balance and shipping fees, the quilt will be mailed to you. How long it takes depends on how complex the quilt is and how many other quilts are being made at the time. We will discuss timing at the beginning. Because every quilt is made uniquely for you, there are no refunds of either the deposit or the final payment.
