MY ART STORY.

I’ve been drawn to the arts for many years but as a full-time Ob/Gyn, mom of three, and the wife of a congregational Rabbi (“rebbetzin"), I didn’t find much time to pursue my hobby. I dabbled in making Judaica (objects for Jewish practice) out of polymer clay and dying silks. Mostly, I made gifts for family, friends, and our former congregation in central Wisconsin.

Following my retirement from medical practice, armed with a new sewing machine, inspiring YouTube lessons, and some classic quilting and silk dying books, I was off and running. During the Covid lockdown, I found myself with more time to learn new techniques, and, as it turns out, our new Long Island house had a sunny room just waiting to be turned into a studio. I ‘ve been having a blast.
